How to Get Started
- Log in with your student or faculty credentials.
- Select your course discussion board from the dashboard.
- Read existing threads before posting to avoid duplication.
- Click “Start New Topic” or reply to an existing thread.
Weekly Engagement
Faculty may post prompts or case studies each week. Students are encouraged to contribute at least two posts—one original and one in response to a peer—by the set deadline.

It is open to all users with free registration and provides space where readers and contributors can ask questions, share ideas & solutions, and engage in intellectual conversations.

Participation Module
The Hed-Core Discussion Board is the platform where scholars, researchers and other professionals can contribute timely and substantive, intellectual, informational and scholarly articles on critical issues confronting higher education.
Topics posted on the discussion board presents definitive analysis of particular higher education issue, based on thorough examination of significant relevant reference materials combined with institutional experiences.
The subjects discussed ranges from ethics, accountability, management and governance of educational institutions issues students’ performance, best practices, academic corruption, etc. This forms a ready resource of information from experts and professionals in the sector.
Thus topic contributions posted are designed to stimulate discourse that is substantiated by research and data-driven expertise on critical issues of higher education and its related subjects.
Therefore, posted topics must include:
- Abstract and excerpt
- Concise survey of relevant reference materials
- Succinct description of the subject issue
- Clear analysis and case study, and solutions
- Conclusion and bibliography
Since the treatments are generally aimed at illuminating stakeholders’ perceptions and interests, and directing them towards aligning priorities and setting achievable sustainable goals, it should elicit participation through:

Request for Contributions
Researchers, scholars and other professionals are invited to join Hed-Core Discussion Board to:
- Raise and or suggest topics for discourse
- Raise, write and post topics
- Contribute to and write on topics already under treatment
- Respond on posted written topics
- Conduct peer review of materials posted
Note: Others, including those with interests in higher education issues are likewise invited to suggest topics for discussion. They are also welcome to write on topics posted if they possess requisite writing skills.
The Hed-Core discussion board creates the interactive space and offers opportunities for thorough examination and discourse of contemporary critical issues facing higher education.
